As Xinhua News Agency wrote, on Monday 5th of August ZTE started selling its first 5G smartphone Axon 10 Pro 5G to hit the market in China, the Chinese firm said on its official WeChat account.
It has been previously unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, where ZTE presented this 5G smartphone for the first time, showing its technical data sheet and all its specifications (see the video of smartphone’s presentation).

ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G supports 5G frequencies of three major operators, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, and it provides users with a more stable Internet connection guaranteeing a faster data transmission. Moreover, thanks to 5G networks’ low latency, HD live contents, videocall and telepresence will be in real time. Since on June 2019 Chinese Government greenlighted the commercial use of the next-generation technology, the major Chinese telco operators and smartphone makers are racing to develop their deployment of 5G infrastructures and products.
- When will Axon 10 Pro 5G be available in the Italian market?
ZTE 5G smartphone can be bought via major e-commerce platforms and it will be soon available in the Italian market. However, in Italy the 5G network coverage is limited. Only few cities have a 5G network coverage, that are Milan, Prato, Rome, L’Aquila, Bari and Matera. This means that Axon 10 Pro 5G’s users must resort to 4G networks for now. On the other hand, it is true that the availability of 5g smartphones and that of 5G networks go hand in hand, commercially speaking, so it will not be long before new generation networks are made available to users together with the commercialization of 5G smartphones.
