This year Lubea’s calendar pays tribute to the Chigi family ducal residence, in Ariccia, whose unique baroque sculptures, by Bernini, the fascinating rooms, and the many works of art, portray one of the most important aristocratic family of 17th and 19th century.
Through the toning process, altering the color of black-and-withe pictures, each image has been drained of its original colors and changed into green, yellow, red and cyan. On the back of the calendar, instead, images have been depicted with their original colors so as to let people appreciate residence’s artworks. Moreover, Lubea CEO, Giuseppe Mura, has decided to add quotes to each image both to describe artworks and to describe company’s vision and mission.
A special thank goes Mr. Gianluca Staccoli, the mayor of Ariccia, who has allowed us to publish pictures depicting the ducal palace, and to Mr. Francesco Petrucci, art historian and conservator, who has helped us select the best and most appropriate images.
